A suspect in two killings walked into San Diego Police headquarters Thursday night and surrendered. Aristeo Valenzuela Hernandez, 29, was sought in the slaying of his pregnant ex-wife and a 16-year-old boy, and the wounding of the youth’s brother during a shooting at a Lakeside apartment. Hernandez was accompanied by attorney George Bye when he surrendered, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Al Bates said.

Hernandez was being held at the downtown County Jail pending arraignment.

Bates said a quarrel over a divorce settlement preceded the fatal shootings of Teresa Ann Hernandez, 24, and Jesus Mireles Rodriguez at the apartment in the 9600 block of Los Coches Road.

Jose Mireles Rodriguez, 20, was wounded in the head and was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was in critical condition Friday.
