In the Fullerton men’s tournament:
El Camino 80, Fullerton 68--Mike Goff scored 17 points but Fullerton lost in the championship semifinal. Fullerton plays College of the Canyons in the third-place game at 6 p.m. El Camino plays Cerritos in the championship at 8 p.m.
San Bernardino Valley 74, Saddleback 72--Saddleback was eliminated despite 23 points from Sean Keyes and 20 points from Vincent Mason. Wun Versher’s free throw for Saddleback (0-2) with 9 seconds tied the score, 72-72, but Isadore Steward made a shot with 5 seconds left to win it for San Bernardino Valley (2-2).
In the Fullerton women’s tournament:
Fullerton 64, College of the Sequoias 51--Kelli Johnson scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds to lead host Fullerton into the final. Debbie Wagner added 15 points and 5 assists and Viv Perez scored 12 for Fullerton (3-0). Sequoias is 2-1. Fullerton plays Golden West in the final at 8 p.m.
Golden West 70, Los Angeles Valley 64--DeeDee Stigar scored 19 for Golden West (3-0) and Kim Wilson added 14.
Rancho Santiago 48, San Bernardino Valley 38--Charisse Simon scored 14 points and had 13 rebounds to lead Rancho Santiago (1-2) in one consolation semifinal. Rancho Santiago shot 24% (18 for 75) and San Bernardino Valley (0-2) shot 19% (16 of 83).
In women’s nonconference basketball:
Cypress 66, Palomar 32--Becky Wayland scored 30 points, Vicky Silva 25 and Kerry Callahan 11 for host Cypress (1-1).
In the state water polo tournament:
Golden West 16, College of the Sequoias 7--Wade Womack scored 5 goals, Andy Parazette, Pono Faulkner, and Greg Luttrell 2 each for Golden West (25-6) in the quarterfinals.
