Fourteen passengers on an American Airlines A-300 Airbus were slightly injured when using exit ramps after the jet made an emergency landing because of a false fire alarm, an airline spokesman said Monday.

Flight 1158 returned to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, about 30 minutes after it had taken off for New York’s Kennedy International Airport with 267 passengers and 10 crew members, Keith Harrell, a spokesman for American, said.
