ITT Corp. has moved the headquarters of its ITT Electromechanical Components Group and ITT Cannon Components Division from Fountain Valley to a facility in Santa Ana. The move involved 185 employees.
The 67,000-square-foot leased facility at 1851 Deere Road will house mostly administrative staff for the two ITT units. ITT eventually plans to move some manufacturing work to the facility.
ITT, one of Orange County’s largest private employers, currently operates a manufacturing plant on Dyer Road in Santa Ana. The plant employs 1,700 people who make electronic components for military and aerospace applications.
The ITT units, headquartered since 1981 in a 215,000-square-foot leased facility in Fountain Valley, moved to the smaller building because the larger site was not being fully utilized, the company said.
