If Roe Ruling Is Reversed
Peirce compares the abortion issue with Prohibition. Evidently he is unaware of the reasons why anti-abortionists oppose abortion. They believe that life begins at conception, or shortly thereafter. By the time a woman is aware of her pregnancy, human life has begun. Terminating that life is considered the destruction of a human life (murder).
How in the world can Peirce compare both issues? He has presented a poor argument in defense of abortion.
