More Disney: There’s no denying that Mickey Mouse is the world’s most popular rodent.
The Disney mascot was among many non-candidates--including Elvis Presley and Pee-wee Herman--who received write-in votes for president in Broward County, Fla., an election official says.
The top vote-getter in write-in ballots unsealed Monday was the more serious figure of Democrat Jesse Jackson, who got 90 votes, said Jane Carroll, county supervisor of elections.
Even so, less serious figures dominated. Besides Mickey, cartoon characters Garfield, Bullwinkle the Moose, Goofy and Roger Rabbit garnered votes.
