Golden Nugget, a Las Vegas casino operator, disclosed that it holds a 6.4% interest in the stock of competitor Caesars World. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Golden Nugget said it acquired its 1,562,300 Caesars World shares for investment purposes, including 364,300 shares bought Dec. 8-14. On Dec. 6, Caesars had announced a plan to buy up to 3 million of its 24.5 million shares outstanding. A week later, Caesars said it was notified that financier Donald J. Trump had filed for federal antitrust clearance to acquire more than 15% of its stock and might seek control of the company.
