Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi promised to return the body of a U.S. flier killed during a 1986 air raid on Libya, the official news agency Jana reported. The agency, monitored in London and Rome, quoted Kadafi as saying that the body of Air Force Capt. Paul Lorence will be given to his family “through the Pope.” Lorence, 31, of San Francisco, and Fernando L. Ribas-Dominicci, 33, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, crewed the only F-111 bomber lost during the April 15, 1986, raid.
