Local : Child Abduction Charges Denied
A Utah man and his mother denied today in Municipal Court in Santa Ana that they are guilty of charges that they abducted the man’s two children during a custody battle with his former wife three years ago.
Scott Bradley Grud, 28, and Barbara Marie Grud, 49, are wanted on felony custodial interference charges in Utah. They are being held at the Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail each. So far, they have refused to return to Utah voluntarily to face the charges.
They were arrested after Scott Grud was stopped Monday in Orange for a traffic violation. The two children, 9 and 10, were found unharmed in the Gruds’ Santa Ana apartment with their grandmother, police said.
