This weekend ranks as one of the year’s best for pro football fans, thanks to four divisional playoff games being telecast by CBS and NBC.

Today at 9:30 a.m., CBS (2)(8) carries the NFC playoff between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. Then at 1 p.m., NBC (4)(36)(39) covers the AFC’s Seattle Seahawks-Cincinnati Bengals game.

Sunday, on New Year’s Day, NBC will televise the Houston Oilers-Buffalo Bills AFC game at 9:30 a.m., with the NFC match-up between the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers following at 1 p.m. on CBS.

Viewers can warm up for Monday’s bounty of bowl games by tuning in the Peach Bowl today at 10 a.m. (11)(51). In that one, Iowa plays North Carolina State. And at 5 p.m. Sunday on ESPN, Georgia will face Michigan State in the Gator Bowl.
