Local : 300 Students Protest at School
From Times staff and wire service reports
Nearly 300 students at John C. Fremont High School walked out of classes and mounted a noisy protest in front of the South-Central Los Angeles school this morning. Police called to the scene were pelted with rocks and eggs. Police say they believe members of the senior class were angered because they had been told that their grades would not be released until after June.
