Lynwood : Long Beach Boulevard to Be Repaved, Widened
More than 50 guests, city officials and residents attended a ground-breaking ceremony Tuesday for an estimated $5-million beautification project along Long Beach Boulevard.
The boulevard, one of Lynwood’s major thoroughfares, will receive a major face lift from Lynwood Boulevard south to Orchard Avenue.
The first phase of the project, which will include repaving the boulevard, will take about three months to complete. The second phase will involve widening the street.
Funds for the project will come from several sources, including the city’s Redevelopment Agency and federal grants.
