Iraq to Open Its Airspace to Iranian Civil Aviation

MANAMA, Bahrain — Iraq says it will open its airspace to civilian flights to Iran for the first time since the outbreak of the Persian Gulf War eight years ago, state-run Baghdad Radio reported.
The radio on Sunday said the move was in response to current U.N. efforts to break the deadlock in Iran-Iraq peace talks.
