Local : Malibu Gunman Found Dead
A gunman who barricaded himself inside a house in Malibu after he threatened to kill his mother and sister was found dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot when the Sheriff’s Department SWAT team entered the house about 12:30 this afternoon, authorities said.
The women escaped safely from the house and warned deputies that there had been a family argument and that the man had a rifle. One of them had summoned the lawmen by telephone about 8:06 a.m. Deputies heard a gunshot while they talked with the man by telephone, Deputy Gabe Ramirez said. The identities of the people in the house in the 26900 block of Pacific Coast Highway were not immediately available.
