George Gervin, former star of the San Antonio Spurs, faces foreclosure on his house by next week unless he can meet a $23,000 loan payment, the San Antonio Light reported.
Gervin and his estranged wife, Joyce, have a $23,000 loan, according to Real Estate Foreclosures Inc. The 1988 appraised value of the San Antonio home is $177,200.
Bank officials told the paper that they will accept only full payment or the property will be sold at the regular monthly foreclosure auction next Tuesday.
Gervin was taken by ambulance to a hospital last Saturday night and told an investigating officer he had snorted what he “thought was cocaine” but later said he did not know what it was.
