If you’ve got a strong arts background and the ability to withstand heat that would glaze a clay vase, San Diego has an opening today for a new public arts administrator. Joyce Selber, who’s held the job since its creation in October, 1986, announced her resignation Tuesday to assume the post of exectuive director of the Commission for the Arts in Pasadena. The San Diego public arts administrator’s job, one that rests in the cross fire between the arts community and city government, pays $45,698 a year.
