Pay Raises for County Execs
Hooray for our Los Angeles County supervisors!
On one side of the front page of the Metro Section (March 1) is a story about the havoc wrought in county mental health centers by budget cuts and proposed closings.
On the other side of the page is a story about the 3% to 12.9% pay hikes the supervisors (excepting Pete Schabarum) voted for their cronies in county government.
The bureaucrats usually get their way. The poor and sick very seldom do.
