Local News in Brief : Ventura Freeway Ramp to be Shut for 2 Weeks
The eastbound Valley Circle Boulevard/Mulholland Drive on-ramp to the Ventura Freeway will be closed for about two weeks, beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The ramp is being closed for public safety reasons, said Keith Eoff, Caltrans’ senior resident engineer. “Construction near the on-ramp has restricted the eastbound ‘merging lane’ and motorists cannot safely merge into the freeway lanes,” he said.
The ramp will be reopened in about two weeks when construction on the eastbound shoulder near Mulholland Drive and Valley Circle Boulevard is completed. The ramp will also be repaved during the closure, Eoff said.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use the eastbound Ventura Boulevard or Topanga Canyon Boulevard on-ramps.
