UCLA Beats USC in Pac-10 Tennis
The UCLA men’s tennis team, ranked second in the latest Volvo collegiate ratings, showed its strength Wednesday by easily defeating USC, 5-1, in a Pacific 10 match at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
The No. 11 Trojans (8-7 overall, 2-1 in the Pac-10) won the feature singles match as Byron Black beat Brian Garrow, 6-4, 7-6. The Bruins (14-1, 3-0) clinched the victory by winning the other five singles matches. The three doubles matches were canceled by mutual agreement.
