Spoon-Wielding Houston Man Wounded by Officer

HOUSTON — A police officer, unable to see what was in the hands of a man who earlier had threatened his wife with a knife, shot and wounded the suspect Sunday as he came at him with a spoon, authorities said. The suspect, Andras Santana, 50, was in critical condition after being shot once in the chest by an officer identified as C. Murphy, police said.
