Mural Showing Lenin Defaced by Firebomb
From Associated Press
AUSTIN, Tex. — A homemade firebomb was thrown against a painting of Soviet revolutionary leader V.I. Lenin on the outside wall of a bar, firefighters said.
In addition to Lenin, the mural depicts the hammer and sickle and a happy face.
The incendiary device, made from a bottle containing about a quart of a flammable liquid, caused slight damage to the Eastern Bloc bar, fire officials said. The bar was not open at the time of the incident Sunday night.
