Mary Alice Williams, who recently left CNN for NBC News, may be back on cable TV this month, possibly as a temporary anchor of a new media series on CNBC, the new NBC-owned cable service that will start on April 17. While CNBC officials declined comment, a network source says that Williams might anchor a nightly half-hour series called “The Media Business” to help launch the new service and to attract viewers who became her fans during her eight years at CNN. An announcement is expected today.
