Woman Found Dead in Burning Apartment
San Diego firefighters and police Tuesday were investigating the death of a woman found at a fire scene in East San Diego.
Firefighters responding to reports of a fire in the 4300 block of 51st Street found smoke coming from a second-story apartment. The body of an unidentified woman was found on the floor near the fire.
Police said a cause of death had not yet been determined but that they had not ruled out arson and homicide.
