Pacific Symphony Lists Tune, Gayle as Guests
Broadway performer Tommy Tune and country singer Crystal Gayle are among the seven guest stars who will front the Pacific Symphony in the orchestra’s 1989-90 Pops Series.
The series, announced Thursday, begins with composer Michel Legrand performing with the orchestra Oct. 13 and 14.
Tune appears Nov. 24 and 25, followed by Maureen McGovern singing the annual Christmas-season concerts on Dec. 22 and 23.
Gayle will appear for two concerts in February, 1990, with the dates to be announced.
Film and television composer John Cacavas will conduct the Pacific in a Broadway Night program, March 23 and 24, 1990.
Finishing the series are Toni Tennille, April 20 and 21, 1990, and Andy Williams, May 4 and 5, 1990.
