Crash of Light Plane Kills Student Pilot, Instructor

KANKAKEE, Ill. — A flight student and his instructor were killed Thursday when their single-engine plane crashed at Kankakee Valley Airport, officials said. Kankakee County Sheriff Bernie Thompson said the Cessna 152 crashed while approaching a runway for a landing.
