Egypt seized an Israeli yacht off the Sinai Peninsula and held the four people on board for six hours for entering Egyptian waters illegally. One of the four, Nissim Hai, told Israeli Army Radio that he sailed about 200 yards into Egyptian waters without the necessary permit. “We didn’t have a permit. We took a chance,” he said. “It’s the last time. I’m never going near there again.” Hai said he, his wife and another Israeli couple were taken to an Egyptian Coast Guard base on Coral Island on the Gulf of Aqaba. The Egyptians freed them after he said his wife was pregnant and she began to cry.
