Man Arrested in Sherman Oaks Shooting
A man was in custody Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting that left a 42-year-old Sherman Oaks man hooked to a life-support system, police said.
Bruce W. Roman was held without bail in Van Nuys Jail following his arrest Friday night at a home in the 3300 block of Vista Haven Road where the shooting occurred. The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where police said he clung to life Saturday.
Officers said they arrived at the home about 7:30 p.m. Friday and were met by Roman, who told them that the victim had been shot.
