Jeanne Maiden of Solon, Ohio, and Connie McColley of Mauldin, S.C., were tied for the lead at the end of the first round of the $35,000 Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour Lady Ebonite tournament at Atlanta.
Maiden, 31, and McColley, trying for her first trip into the match play finals, averaged 212 to finish with six-game total of 1,272 pins.
Lisa Wagner of Palmetto, Fla., was tied with Stacy Rider of La Habra for third with 1,263 pins.
