IN BRIEF : Harvard Wins Rowing Classic

BELMONT, Calif. — National champion Harvard won the Redwood Shores-Stanford Rowing Classic on Sunday, defeating Ivy League rival Brown in the men’s eight-oared.
Harvard finished the 2,000-meter race in 5:38.24 while Brown was 5:40.87. The course record, established by California in 1986, is 5:36.70.
Northeastern defeated Washington for third.
In the women’s final, Radcliffe beat Stanford with a time of 6:34.04 to the Cardinal’s 6:37.
