Harvard Water Polo Goalie Makes Junior National Team
Goalie Larry Bercutt, the Southern Section 2-A Division Player of the Year from Harvard High, has made the prestigious 19-and-under junior national water polo team.
Bercutt, at 16 one of the youngest on the team, is in Havana, training for an international tournament.
Rich Corso, Bercutt’s coach at Harvard, also coached the junior national team for the past two years. The current coach is Ricardo Azevedo, a club coach from Long Beach.
Bercutt, who carries a 4.0 grade-point average, allowed 3.8 goals a game as a junior at Harvard, the 2-A Division champion last season.
