Local : Woman Killed, Man Wounded While Parked in Car on Hollywood Street
A woman in a parked Mercedes-Benz was killed and her male companion was critically wounded in a shooting near the Sunset Strip in Hollywood early today, authorities said.
The attack occurred at Crescent Heights Boulevard and Selma Avenue about 2:20 a.m., Lt. David Garcia said.
Both victims, who had been in the car, were shot several times, Detective Russ Kuster said. “The woman was shot in the car (but) we’re not sure about the man yet,” he said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, who was found outside the vehicle, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition.
No motive had been established in the attack, Kuster said.
