The remains of a full-grown pet wolf that mauled a 3-year-old Staten Island boy showed no trace of rabies in police-ordered laboratory tests, officials said. Timothy Bajinski was mangled Saturday in the jaws of the 10-year-old North American hybrid wolf kept by his mother as a pet at the family’s home in the New York City borough. He was listed in critical but stable condition at Staten Island Hospital after several hours of surgery to close gashes on his face and head. The boy’s mother, Susan Bajinski, was issued a health code violation for keeping the wolf, said Sgt. Peter Berry, a police spokesman.
