1 Killed, 3 Wounded in Gang Shooting
One young man was killed and three others wounded, one seriously, in a gang-related shooting Monday night in Boyle Heights, police said.
Lt. John Ferguson said a fifth person possibly was hit in the burst of gunfire shortly after 9 p.m. in the 2900 block of The Mall, inside a private housing development.
A resident who requested anonymity said a group of youths “were hanging out on the corner when some other guys came walking around. Then it started.”
Police said five shots were fired from a .22-caliber automatic rifle. Two juvenile suspects were being sought.
