The Rams announced the retirements of veteran linebacker Carl Ekern and fullback Mike Guman. Each spent his entire pro career with the Rams.

Ekern played for 13 years and started at inside linebacker since 1981. He led the team in tackles three times and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1986.

Guman gained 1,286 yards and scored 15 touchdowns in his nine-year career with the Rams during which time he became a valuable and versatile player.

Guman spent most of last season on injured reserve with a knee injury, although he appeared in the Rams’ regular-season finale against San Francisco.
