DAD’S DAY
The Actor’s Fund of America, the world’s oldest theatrical charitable organization (founded in 1882), has chosen Father’s Day (Sunday) as the time to present its first Harrigan Award, an honor henceforth to be presented annually on alternate Father’s and Mother’s Day. The award will go to a show-business family that consistently exhibits high personal and professional standards. This year’s winners, the Lloyd Bridges family, will receive the award at a reception Sunday in Beverly Hills. The award is named for vaudevillian Edward (Ned) Harrigan, one of the fund’s founders.
