Bob Wortman, the Big Ten’s supervisor of basketball officials, was fired.

Except for a one-sentence announcement, there was no comment from the Big Ten, but there was criticism of Big Ten officiating last season, and the Columbus Dispatch reported that the conference had fired as many as eight basketball officials.
