The State of Health Care in America
When I saw the picture of Mrs. Jimenez, the widow of the man who was refused admission to hospitals in three counties, I felt heartbreak and shame for what our country has become. We have no regard for human life in the United States. We defend the rights of animals and criminals, we spend billions to win a war against present and future “enemies” and when these “enemies” have a disaster we rush forth to supply medical aid, but we do not look after our own. All men are not created equal, nor do they exist equally, and our institutions allow them to be treated unequally.
If nothing is to be done to rectify these injustices, we should all be ashamed.
