THE SIDELINES : L.A. Eyed for ’92 Women’s Final 4

MISSION, Kan. — An NCAA committee has recommended that Los Angeles and Atlanta host Final Fours for women in 1992 and 1993.
The Division I women’s basketball committee will recommend the sites to the executive committee at a meeting next month.
The recommendations call for the 1992 tournament to be played April 3 and April 5 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and for the 1993 tournament to be played at the Omni in Atlanta.
The committee also recommended that regionals in the 1991 tournament be played in Philadelphia; Knoxville, Tenn.; Austin, Tex., and Las Vegas.
