BRISBANE, Australia — Australia’s part-time national basketball team, paced by Andrew Gaze, completed a 2-1 series victory over a team of former NBA All-Stars led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a 122-112 victory today.
Gaze, who helped Seton Hall reach last season’s NCAA final, topped Australia with 36 points, including five 3-point field goals, and was named the most valuable player.
Australia won the first game of the series, 120-115, and the American team, known as the Traveling Daedals, took the second game 143-108.
