Tele-Communications Inc.: The cable-television systems operator said its second-quarter loss tripled to $63.6 million from a year ago, citing higher interest expenses and increased losses by its affiliates. Revenue rose 32% to $726.4 million. The Denver company said the increase in revenue was due to new cable television subscribers and increases in rates and acquisitions.
