Danny Ferry and Brian Shaw, the newly acquired U.S. basketball stars of Messaggero Roma, combined for more than half their team’s points in a tournament game at Roseto Degli Abruzzi, Italy.
Ferry scored 30 points, and Shaw added 23 as Messaggero trounced second-division Penapesca Montecatini, 104-80, in the opening round.
