San Diego
A 20-year-old San Diego man was in fair condition Tuesday night at UC San Diego Medical Center, one day after being shot once in the chest in what police said appeared to be a gang-related attack.
Quron Izard, 20, was in the passenger seat of a car Monday afternoon, stopped at a traffic light at 30th Street and Imperial Avenue, when a man walked up to the car, asked Izard where he was from and shot him once in the chest, police said.
Officers later arrested Reynard Cornwell, 18, of San Diego in the 3000 block of Imperial Avenue. Cornwell is being held in County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
As of Tuesday night, the weapon used in the attack had not been found, police said.
