Laguna Niguel : Citizens for Cityhood to Talk to Homeowners
Citizens for Cityhood, a group heading the drive for incorporation of Laguna Niguel, is sponsoring meetings on that topic with homeowner groups.
The meetings represent “a continuing effort to encourage communitywide awareness of the advantages of cityhood for Laguna Niguel,” said Linda Romeike, a spokeswoman for the group.
The group will meet with the Colinas de Capistrano Homeowners Assn. at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Niguel Hills Junior High School, 29070 Paseo Escuela, and with the Rancho Niguel Homeowners Assn. at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the association’s clubhouse, 24745 Rancho Niguel Road.
Laguna Niguel voters will determine Nov. 7 whether the community should become the county’s 29th city. Should a majority of those voting punch yes on their ballots, Laguna Niguel will become a city effective Dec. 1.
