An 11-part documentary screening series kicks off at 8 tonight under the auspices of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the Academy Foundation and the UCLA Film and Television Archive. It is the eighth annual presentation of the free series that will continue through March 6. The screenings take place in UCLA’s Melnitz Theater.
