SADDLEBACK / SOUTH BEACH : MISSION VIEJO : Anti-Drug Fair Planned for Oct. 28
Organizers of an anti-drug fair predict more than 1,000 people will show up for the culmination of the second annual Red Ribbon Week at Saddleback College on Oct. 28.
The all-day event is part of a national anti-drug campaign run by Parents for Drug-Free Use. Festivities will include a soap-box derby, pancake breakfast, games and live entertainment.
The Red Ribbon campaign was inspired by the death of federal agent Enrique Camarena at the hands of drug traffickers, Chariton said.
Last year’s event attracted more than 500 people to Saddleback College.
