Printronix Inc.: The Irvine-based manufacturer of computer printers, reported higher net income for the second quarter of fiscal 1990, despite a 12% decline in sales. Net income for the period ended Sept. 29 totaled $1.2 million, in contrast with net income of $255,000 for the like period last year. Sales dropped to $31.9 million from $36.4 million. For the first half of the fiscal year, Printronix reported a profit of $630,000, in contrast with net income of $1.7 million for the six-month period last year. Sales declined 15%, to $61.1 million from $71.8 million.
