WORLD IN BRIEF : INDOCHINA : U.S., Vietnam Agree to Press MIA Hunt

Vietnam and the United States have agreed to expand joint efforts to resolve the cases of about 1,700 American soldiers missing from the Vietnam War, an official report from Bangkok, Thailand, said. It quoted a joint communique as saying that the two sides agreed “to refine and extend the process of joint cooperation to resolve the compelling cases of discrepancies, including conducting additional research to determine the fate of these Americans.”
