WORLD IN BRIEF : COLOMBIA : Blasts, Shootings Follow Extradition

Two people were killed and two others were wounded in Bogota when a grenade exploded as an attacker prepared to toss it at police, officials said. Two bombs also exploded in the city Monday, but no one was injured, and officials suspected that all the incidents were in response to the weekend extradition to the United States of Jose Abello Silva, a purported cocaine kingpin. In another drug-related attack, gunmen on a motorcycle shot and wounded two journalists in front of a TV studio in Bogota on Sunday night.
