Bomb Kills Police Inspector in Spain

BILBAO, Spain — A police inspector was killed Monday by a powerful bomb planted in his car by suspected separatists in the Basque town of Guecho.
The bomb exploded under the driver’s seat when Inspector Eladio Rodriguez Garcia, 50, sat down to drive to work.
Officials said that members of ETA (Basque Homeland and Freedom), a separatist group fighting for an independent Basque state, are suspected of planting the bomb.
