Minerva Court’s 15 Homes Labeled Historical District
LONG BEACH — Minerva Court, an unusual 1925 complex of single-family homes, has been designated a historical district. The block of 15 homes was built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style by a single developer and a single contractor along a narrow, private street south of 11th Street and east of Gaviota Avenue.
The modest homes of stucco walls, arches and flat roofs, arranged in a courtyard fashion, were built for working-class families.
